On October 18th, 2018, Prof. Jorge Angeles, the Academician of the Academy of Science of the Royal Society of Canada, visited the Fraunhofer Project Center for Smart Manufacturing at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, accompanied by Prof. Wang Hao, Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Director of FPCSM.

Prof. Jorge Angeles visited the Fraunhofer Project Center for Smart Manufacturing at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and observed the operation of the Sino-German Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing demonstration line and listened to Prof. Wang's detailed introduction.

Prof. Jorge Angeles also had exchanges with Prof. Wang on intelligent interactive assembly system, smart manufacturing service bus, reconfiguration manufacturing system, real-time digital twin system, human-machine collaborative robots, and discussed the future technology development and application scenarios.
