On September 5th, 2019, Prof. Prof. Thomas Bauernhansl, Director of IPA, and Mr. Michael Lickefett, head of department Factory planning and production management, director of FPCSM, visited Shanghai Electric Group and Shanghai Electric Central Research Institute on behalf of Fraunhofer Project Center for Smart Manufacturing at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, which was received by Mr. Zhang Yulong, Vice President of Shanghai Electric Automation Group. The two sides discussed in detail how they should cooperate in smart manufacturing in the field of large electrical manufacturing and drew up a second working meeting to be held on December 6th in the near future to discuss specific cooperation arrangements.
